Safety

Gas Safe Register is the official list of gas engineers who are registered to work safely and legally on gas appliances. By law, all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register. It has replaced CORGI registration.

All Baillie Wood engineers who work on your gas appliances are registered on the Gas Safe Register. The Baillie Wood engineer will show you their Gas Safe Register identification card. If you have any concerns you can call Gas Safe on 0800 408 5500 to double check our identification. If you are approached by companies offering to carry out gas work who do not offer identification checks then they may be working illegally. They will almost certainly be working dangerously.

What are the gas safety risks of dangerous gas work?

Dangerous gas work can be deadly. Badly fitted and poorly serviced appliances can cause the following gas safety risks:

  1. Gas Leaks
  2. Fires
  3. Explosions
  4. Carbon monoxide poisoning

This could result in the risk of deadly threats to you and your loved ones from work that is unsafe.

Baillie Wood engineers will carry out a range of safety checks to ensure your gas appliances are working correctly and safely. This will include checking that your carbon monoxide (CO) detector is working correctly and positioned in the right place.
